what was supposed to be doomsday

resulted in ugly sweater day

goonsday

i do not know when it happened

but the very sweaters

i used to get and thought

were so awesome

(i am talking that i even bought them to go out on dates

that i had mad crushes on...)

are mocked

the above is the sweater i gave away

i wore it for years

filled the stockings with candy canes

and the chimney

with chocolate santas

i rocked this sweater

there are websites just on ugly sweaters

it has become a trendy thing

i was absolutely amazed at the participation

and especially amongst boys

even my ANGELS

posed for a photo shoot

*i felt so sad that i parted with my sweaters

as what i thought was an act of kindness

i wanted to participate in the worst way

i walked to my car

there was a package in the front seat

for whatever reason

the day before ugly christmas sweater day

my mom placed hers in a bag 

and left it in my car

with other generous gifts

she had no idea i needed

a christmas sweater
