SIX STACKING SANTAS

SIX STACKING SANTAS
each SANTA hand painted
to reflect a particular scene
from the infamous story
"the polar express"
a caldecott winner
written and
illustrated
by

the above SANTA
illustrates the following quote (pg.5)
"the train was filled with other children
all in their pajamas and nightgowns.
we sang christmas carols
and ate christmas candies with
nougat centers as white as snow.
we drank hot cocoa as thick and rich
as melted chocolate bars..."
inside the
smallest of SANTAS
was a silver
jingle bell
(pg. 29)
"though i've grown old,
the bell still rings for all
who truly believe"
over the years
the book was gifted to the groendyke family
along with a disc
of LIAM NESSON reading the story...
then the
 STACKING SANTAS
came as a present as
a reminder to truly
 believe
and always hear
the little silver bell
and finally
all the grandchildren
in their nightgowns and pajamas
climbed aboard a real
were served hot cocoa,
cookies, and candies
and
went for a train ride
in the dark of night
thanks
grandma and grandpa
for all the numerous
gifts that have been
carefully selected
with such thought and effort

ALL ABOARD
