as a child, it was christmas eve that brought such excitement

with cousins and loved ones

we would stroll from home to home

for an evening of festivities

each home featured a specialty

the preparation began early in the day

for an array of tasty
HORS D'OEURVES

on silver trays and christmas dishes

then placed upon a santa red felt tablecloth

with a golden runner

a real work of art

1. original potato chips with a whipped french onion and sour gream dip

2. juicy sweet and sour meatballs

 3. seasoned sausage with mustard on ritz crackers

 4. fresh chilled shrimp and cocktail sauce

 5. a thick crab and cream cheese spread glazed with cocktail sauce

 6. crisp bacon wrapped around green olives, pineapple and water chestnuts

7. colorful layers in the tex mix with tortilla chips

 8. warm articoke dip served with crackers or toasted bread rounds

9. a variety of cheese and salami platter

 10. little smoked sausages in a tangy barbeque sauce

 12. sweet teryaki chicken wings
which made the number one spot year after year
