the following afternoon

the next chapter of their lives is about to unfold

LIFE PASS BY ME IN A FLASH

you know those moments when you say

"my LIFE PASSED before my eyes?"

these "FLASH before your eyes" moments

usually come in times

of intense fear. despair. close calls.

then there's the "whoosh and

 rapid heart rate that follows.

rarely a welcomed event.

on the flip side

there are moments

of extreme happiness 

and  incomprehensible joy.

the moments you wish

would last forever.

i had a FLASH of light the other day

while checking emails

no dread. no fear.

maddie, my niece sent me a link

of her amazingly beautiful wedding day.

now that was a day to be

remembered...

families gathered

special celebration

of two people in love

the event passed in a FLASH.

well, now i can have

that FLASH of that day
 as many times as i want
