MEANWHILE...MY LIST IS WAITING

stiff, scratchy laundry
and piles waiting their turn
well...it did not take much convincing
to help rick carry the dryer back up the stairs
until...
it fell down on me
then i was a wee bit shakey
i made a promise to my parents
so quickly i shook off my shakes
and returned to the LIST
i wondered if the dryer mishap
was a strong message
"go to the distribution center"
the temple and flowers looked spectacular
given it had been some time
i quickly LISTED a session
as i left the temple doors
the trickling of water
the sunbathing duck
the waving flag
told me it was not to be an inside day
i could feel the procrastination coming on...
there were still errands to do
from jordan landing
to the district
to draper
a whiff of great harvest bread...
i still needed to pay south valley sewer
which took me into this neighborhood
another LIST...

QUESTON # 2 - AMAZING PLACE

QUESTION #2

what is the most amazing place you have ever been to and why?

wow.
now this is a difficult one
as there have been many
wonderful places
it depends on how to qualify the question
the most amazing because of the spectacular sites?
and are those spectacular sites man made or natures wonders?
the most amazing because of how a place rejuevenates me?
the most amazing because of a place i can feel close to god?
the most amazing because of the celebration?
the most amazing because of the people i was with?
the most amazing being a state of mind as in "i am in a good place right now?"
how do i answer the thought provoking question?
one at a time
*as a flight attendant
i had a birds eye view of vast oceans, incredible bridges,  colorful canyons, majestic mountains, a sea of fluffy white clouds,
green fields and pastures given the illusion of  carefully laid out patchwork quilts,
rolling hills, and illuminated city lights
swooping over mount st. helens
and by the faces of mt. rushmore
oh what a view
* as a daughter of fabulous parents
i have been to many awesome places because of planned family vacations
and with the best of people my family
florida, california, arizona, wyoming, montana, colorado, illinois,
from washington state to washington d.c. our nations capital,
the coast of maine,
new hampshire...(now there is a place of amazement)
france, germany, england, belgium, switzerland, canada
oh the places you will go
with parents like mine
*maybe the most amazing place to be
is behind a camera
zooming in on a picture worth remembering, you know,
the one that paints a thousand words
*or the computer where the world
and a wealth of information is
literally at my fingertips
the most amazing place...hmmmmm
*spectacular sites...FRANCE the eiffel tower, champs elysees at night, the louvre, versaille, the arc de triomphe, notre dame, the seine, a balloon ride over the loire valley, chenanceau castle, sacre  couer, all truly inspirational

*if i am thinking about NATURE'S WONDERS,
amazing is at lake powell, moab,
yellowstone national park and the tetons

*the amazing places that promise to rejuevenate
palm desert, desert springs and camelback
where time stands still
 in particular...the DAY SPA.
it was and continues to be a source of relaxation...
a massage, quiet moments around the private pool,
soft new age music, plush robes, steam rooms, sauna,
fragrant oils infused into the environment is soothing and peaceful
and that is an amazing place to be.

*a place close to god...any TEMPLE
throughout the world.
 everyone is dressed in white
in a pristine and pure edifice,
pondering upon the wonderful plan of salvation is heaven on earth.
i can leave the cares of the world behind
and venture into a place of solace in joyful and difficult times.
this is a place where perspective comes to light and
it is so quiet,  that even the tingle of a chandelier can be heard at the slightest movement
*the place of celebration...
so many events to CELEBRATE a wedding,
a birth, a graduation, reunions
and other happy occasions make even
 the most humble places magnificent.
the sweden temple has a special place in my heart...
it was the place of my wedding celebration
i had a simple wedding in a fairy tale setting
with very few guests...
*an amazing place was in my MOTHER'S WEDDING DRESS
(which i thought would never come to be)
both in 1998 and 11 years later with the bridesmaids
and bouquet i never had at my wedding.
all but one of my bridesmaids married this year
madeline, mallory, and mindy
jenn will soon follow
she graduated with high honors and is now attending brigham young university
(which reminds me...i loved brigham young university...another amazing place)
and another wedding of my nephew jordan and his wife liz
the occasion brought me to the home of my upbringing
idaho falls, idaho
the memories enveloped by being
another amazing place was 1363 herring street
where i felt safe and secure
*then there is the place of loved ones...if i am with the PEOPLE I LOVE,
i am in an amazing place
*the place as in "i am in a GOOD PLACE right now" is when the bills are paid, the home is cleaned, my projects are updated,  i am living righteously, and feeling successful in my personal passions. i love that place!
i need to visit that place once again.
*i would say that HEBGEN LAKE would be the top of my list.
it is a place of nature, with people i love,
i share a cabin with the bodines and harts (my best friends), there is adventure and reflection,
rest and relaxation, simple entertainment, and quality time and excitement with noah,
we witness summer storms and stand in awe of starry nights.
we leave with sun kissed cheeks
and then when the moments have passed
and reality sets in
*there is still another amazing place
 HOME
in the comfort of
FAMILY

now that is an amazing place to be
