SOUR LEMONS

when life gives you LEMONS make LEMONADE

at least that is what my mom used to tell me
  i love LEMONADE
 it is refreshing...with the right amount of tartness and sweetness

 it quenches the thirst on a hot summer's day
 it brings smiles to passerbys
when youngins' set up a LEMONADE stand
 in hopes of making a buck
let's face it
i can't enjoy my cool LEMONADE
without having a
few LEMONS

it is the combination of sour LEMONS
with the sweetness of sugar and water
that make for the glass of liquid sunshine

life is made up of a gazillion little choices
some bitter
some sweet
it is the combination of the two
that make for a full life
 so i will live with purpose
 i will make the most of the moments
 that have been afforded me
i will find sweetness in prayer and scripture study,

 in hope and faith,
in love and kindness
  it is time to count my joys once again.
