and so i surveyed
18 students from the 9th grade
with random questions

groendyke poll

it was interesting to note the results
President of the United States
61% knew to be the President had to be at least 35 years old
78% knew the President had to be a natural born citizen of the United States
28% knew the President needed to live at least14 years in the United States
89% could name at least six Presidents but very few could give a first name to match the surname
11% knew how many Presidents there have been in the United States of America
16% knew who the youngest President was to date (.05% knew what age he was)
50% knew the name of the President that is pictured above
50% knew the political party of this President
