i am supposed to be working on something...

anything that gets me closer to my goal

a house of order and sips of LEMONADE

  i glance to see if ifhs is having a 30 year reunion...

it hardly seems plausible

  i have summer school tomorrow

 and so i browse the internet

 looking for activities to accompany the novel we plan to read

 and then i sit and sit and sit

  there is laudry piled high

16 plus projects waiting to be completed

 one, two, no three maybe four blogs that need either catching up or wrapping up

  i can't seem to pull myself away from the computer because then i will have to be productive

  ahh haa

 yes maddie comes to mind

i decide to check
on my dear sweet niece's blog

 her blog is just plain fun

 i always feel uplifted

 she is probably the happiest person i know

the QUEEN OF LEMONADE

oh how i ought to take her example to heart

 by the way, i received an adorable thank you

 from love. madly.

TRUST IN THE RECIPE

if i am going to have the best LEMONADE
i am going to need
the very best
RECIPE
(there is a joke in our home, in that i do not
follow the recipe with exactness due to impatience,
missing or substituting ingredients)

i believe i have the ultimate
RECIPE
1. obtain all the ingredients
(scriptures and prayer...)

2. follow the RECIPE with
exactness
(there is no substitute and
i cannot leave out ingredients)

3. then TRUST the
RECIPE to turn out
with perfection
after all,  the source of
the RECIPE
4. drink a full glass
savoring the sips
 (invite a friend)

5. be sure to share the RECIPE
with others

SOUR LEMONS

when life gives you LEMONS make LEMONADE

at least that is what my mom used to tell me
  i love LEMONADE
 it is refreshing...with the right amount of tartness and sweetness

 it quenches the thirst on a hot summer's day
 it brings smiles to passerbys
when youngins' set up a LEMONADE stand
 in hopes of making a buck
let's face it
i can't enjoy my cool LEMONADE
without having a
few LEMONS

it is the combination of sour LEMONS
with the sweetness of sugar and water
that make for the glass of liquid sunshine

life is made up of a gazillion little choices
some bitter
some sweet
it is the combination of the two
that make for a full life
 so i will live with purpose
 i will make the most of the moments
 that have been afforded me
i will find sweetness in prayer and scripture study,

 in hope and faith,
in love and kindness
  it is time to count my joys once again.
to add at least one cup of hope and two cups of faith...
