SUNSHINE ON MY TOOTSIES MAKES ME HAPPY

one thing i love about a new school year is new school shoes.
it seems as though the variety of colors and styles are endless.
i love to see the expression on noah's face when he puts on a new pair of shoes.
his smile radiates pure SUNSHINE and that makes me HAPPY
infact it is worth all the money that i do not have.
i love a new pair of shoes as much as the next person,
but there are some shoes that just plain make me HAPPY and smile.
i found a few fitting that very description at my place of employment.
early light is adorned with the bright brights as in a pair worn by a student named will...
notice the difference in shoelace color...
that is going the extra bright mile.
then there is ari...she is as bright in personality as in the shoes that she wears.
she just happened to be spotted with another young woman who found orange to be her bright pick. just seeing these shoes of SUNSHINE step down the hall along with other bright brights made me happy that i had my camera with me.
i wonder...if i had a bright yellow pair of shoes...
would my countenance SHINE brighter? would my load feel lighter?
 would my steps be chipper?
would there be a skip in my stride?
would others notice me in the way that i noticed my students?
would my shoes make someone else smile?
i really do not know
but it is worth finding out...next purchase...

WHOOOOO ARE YOU QUESTIONNAIRE

mr. h. handed out a QUESTIONNAIRE
 to his students...
"WHOOOOO ARE YOU?"

"who am i ?" a question
i have often reflected upon.
i had thought this question to be a lifelong journey...
and it is.
yet, i recognize there are
little bits and pieces
to be added along the way.
i was intrigued by this assignment
and so...i requested a copy
 for my own curiosity.
i am going to learn about
me one question at a time.
"oh sweet sadie" boutique

questions from mr. heeringa's assignment
will be distinguished by this handcrafted OWL
"WHOOOOO ARE YOU?"

HEARTFELT CREATIONS

i was a scrapbook junkie long before
all the professional scrapbook stores.
i can't even begin to imagine what those same
scrapbooks would be like if i had possession
of all the cut outs, tools, paper,
 fancy lettering,
 borders and the like.
 i discovered
i do not know if that is even around any more.
i have spent my dollars at roberts
(kind of funny...stores with male names
but appeal to the women population.)

i had made arrangements with mom and dad
to meet at the maverick on 90 south
 just off the freeway.
i was game as i would be in the territory of a frozen yogurt.
i pulled into the parking lot when dad called.
 they were stuck in
ongoing construction.
i climbed out of the car and saw the
i have passed by this charming aluminum
 building a gazillion times.
i had felt the desire to peek inside,
but the location was inconvenient
for crossing freeway traffic.
today, i didn't have an excuse.
i stepped inside. wow. wow. and wow.
what a store.
i am sure had i known about this
place in earlier days,
i would have been penniless long ago...
everything and i mean everything was adorable.
i did not have a dime in my wallet.
i could not purchase a thing...
only look and look i did.

I'M BIKING ON SUNSHINE

the other day, my little boy came home from school with a girl.
that is right--a girl.
she was too cute and her bike, too adorable to pass up.
just gazing at the bicycle made me smile and so i decided to share this piece of SUNSHINE.

and then...they rode away...
off into the brilliant, afternoon SUNSHINE.

PINTEREST

so...i had a PINTEREST account,
but i hadn't a clue what to do with it.
i still don't really.
 one of the wonderful colleagues
 (oh joy...)
that i work with introduced me to some "how to's"and oh my,
have i been busy for a while.
i am using my PINTEREST as a way to organize my PINTERESTING photos finally.
